Breakside Rainbows and Unicorns 2017 design contest.
Breakside is excited to bring our draft- only release, “Rainbows and Unicorns” to life! This Session IPA is quickly becoming one of our most popular releases. Rainbows and Unicorns was originally made for the Oregon Brewers Fest; brewed with flaked rice to create as light bodied a beer as possible with juicy, tropical, and fruity hop flavors, alongside notes of peach, honeydew, apricot and pineapple. To finish, we use three hop varietals: Galaxy, Comet, and El Dorado.
To commemorate this year’s release, we’re looking for a winning design to put onto a tee shirt. The contest will break into two parts. The first part is the submission of designs via e-mail, from which the company will select 3 top choices. Those three designs will be posted to Breakside social media for fan voting, beginning on March 4th and closing on March 9th. The final product will be released at the Breakside Dekum Brewpub on the day the beer will be released. Breakside will donate a portion of the day’s proceeds to the Woodlawn Elementary School.
How do I enter?
Entries will be submitted via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “Rainbows and Unicorns 2017 design contest”. Entry format will be accepted in the format of jpeg or pdf. Refer to design specs for parameters of a winning design.
When is the deadline?
Entries must be received by March 2, 2017 in order to be considered.
In addition to having your artwork printed on a limited edition tee shirt, Breakside will give you a $250 credit that can be used in any combination of food, beer, or merchandise. A royalty, per tee shirt will be paid out to the winning artist.
All entries will be judged based on creativity and the ability to express the Breakside Brewery brand in a respectful manner. Please limit the number of colors used in the design to a maximum of 6. The design must be in a digital format to be considered. Hand drawn entries should be scanned and optimized per the artist’s vision. There may need to be an additional round of revisions after submission, in order to guarantee a successful transition to fabric. In such case, the artist will be consulted and granted final say.
